I am a member of the Progressive Ragdoll Breed Cat Club (PRBCC), and as such follow their recommended guidelines.
You will be asked to read and sign a kitten agreement, this is purely for the benefit of your chosen kitten.
Our kittens leave us with their little suitcase packed with loads of goodies. These include:-
-
Hills Science Plan kitten dry food.
-
Toys.
-
Cat litter.
-
Kitten brush.
All kittens also leave us with:-
-
Vaccination Certificate.
-
Pedigree Certificate. [four generation] for pets, [ five generation for breeding].
-
Registered with the GCCF. [Governing Council of the Cat Fancy]
-
Six weeks Pet Plan Insurance.
-
Sheet telling you about your kitten and the best way of introducing him/her, into your home, plus diet.
Kittten Prices are as follows:-
-
Pets. £375- £400 (Must be Neutered).
-
Show/Neuter Potential. £375- £400 (Must be Neutered).
-
Breeding Queen Potential. £550- £650
-
Stud Potential. £650- £750
Kitten prices as stated above, will vary according to pattern and colour.
If a kitten is sold for breeding then you will see the term "Breeding Potential", this means exactly that, we cannot guarantee that a kitten, when turned adult and old enough to breed, will produce offspring, although quite rare there are cats who are infertile and a breeder cannot be held responsible for something they cannot predict.
Kittens are secured with a £50 non-returnable deposit, unless the health of the kitten is in question.
You can reserve a kitten at any time but a deposit will NOT be taken until the kitten has reached nine weeks old and had their first vet check and vaccinations.
I do not allow anyone to have more than two kittens from the same litter, this is to stop unscrupulous dealers purchasing a full litter and selling them on.
(SOMEONE HAS TRIED THIS WITH ME A FEW YEARS AGO).
If you make the decision to have a kitten, telephone calls as well as emails are requested and, if at all possible come and visit us and see the cats and kittens for yourselves.
I like to speak to prospective owners in person, as I believe it is the only way I can really make sure a kitten is going to the right home.
After all, making sure a kitten is going to be happy, means you will be happy, and that is what we all want, isnt it?.
If you intend to pay the final amount by cheque, then payment will be required at least one week prior to collection of your kitten, this allows for clearance of the cheque.
A kitten will not be sold to anyone if it would be left on it's own for long periods.
And finally, PLEASE do not go from one breeder straight to another, unwittingly people can transmit a disease or virus carried on clothes, which could potentially kill any unborn or young kittens and place the health of all the cats you are visiting at risk, I don't say this lightly as it happened to a friend of mine a few years ago, two litters of kittens died after just such a visit.
THANKYOU.
